Das Department für Digital Humanities and Social Studies (DHSS) hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, eine der großen Herausforderungen der heutigen Menschheit zu bewältigen – den Sinn der modernen, digitalen Welt zu erfassen. Unsere Forschung befasst sich mit den Chancen und Herausforderungen der Datafizierung und Algorithmisierung von Gesellschaft, Kultur und menschlichem Wissen, sie entwickelt Modelle und Techniken zur Untersuchung dieser Phänomene und verfolgt einen kritischen Ansatz zu den Auswirkungen des Digitalen auf die menschliche Realität.
